| DEAR BAND PARENTS;
NOTE TO PARENTS: Many thanks to our parents who helped us put together the utensils for the band banquet and helped with the senior gift last Friday evening. Our efforts may not always be perfect in their concept or execution but we appreciate your good manners and kindness in NOT yapping about it! It is always easier to be critical than to recognize the good in organizations and in people but at the end of the day that does not help individuals or organizations move forward. In that vein, please allow us to thank so many of you who bring such kindness and positive thinking to everything that we attempt to do. You donate your time, your money and your physical stamina for our concerts and band camp and other events. You do all of this pleasantly and with respect and kindness towards the other volunteers who are just as dedicated. For those of us who have been doing this for a few years we find it nothing short of inspiring. We could not let another moment go by without mentioning it and expressing our gratitude for it. Send in your $$ and RSVP for the band banquet on Thursday, the 22nd of May!!! Time is running short and we need a good count for the caterer. Here is the menu! WELCOME BBQ FOR NEW PARENTS, Last concert of the season! 5:15 p.m. Willie will be doing the burgers. We need donations of the following... 1 balloon tank (thanks to our cool APM parent for 1 donation already!) 1 large COSTCO box of sliced cheese 2 large tubs or ice chests filled to the ever loving brim with ICE Large bags of chips Veggie platters x 2 We thank you for your generosity. We will be wearing name tags this evening that will have your name and what your student plays on them. It is our hope that our new parents can find other parents whose student's play the same instrument. After the BBQ we will wander over to the theater for the end of the year concert with our incoming families.
